The best workday of the week is finally upon us, at it’s time to get your weekend started off in one of the weirdest possible ways! Join your hosts Robert, The David, and Matt as they regale you with their stories of weird happenings, weirder behaviors, and questionable gift giving. From Japanese buck-fiddy stores and punk rock karaoke to parking lot lurkers and questionable food choices, this weeks’ episode has a little bit of everything to wet your whistle. Hardly intelligible and questionably entertaining, it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!!! That’s right boys and girls, Monkey in the Cage Productions has just turned 3 years old! So, in order to celebrate this somewhat insignificant landmark in the vast wasteland of the internet, we have brought you, our faithful dozens of listeners, a brand new episode of Useless Drivel. Sure, we are probably your 14th or 15th choice when it comes to entertainment, but we’re going to keep on keeping on every week, at least until ebola knocks us off the internet. So, enjoy the Birthiversary festivities with a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
We’ve all been there. Breaking into cold sweats in the middle of the night with cravings. You can’t sleep, you can’t eat, your family keeps asking why you’re acting so differently. You know they just won’t understand, because deep down, you know you need just one more hit… one more bump to keep you going until the next one… just one more.. GOOD TIME WITH YOUR GEEKINESS!!! Join us this week as we discuss our current geeky obsessions. If you’ve been listening, you’ll know that it can be almost anything. Hit the ATM, bring a whole bunch of patience, and kiss the heat wave goodbye as we discuss what’s got us all hot to trot on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Another Comic-Con has come and gone, and the Monkey in the Cage crew is WORN OUT! Even with back-up and thorough planning, tackling the awesomeness that descends on San Diego every year proved to be more challenging and rewarding than ever, and we weren’t even on the floor (legitimately)! Join us this week as we are once again joined by our favorite intern, Jared the Intern, and artist/illustrator extraordinaire Dennis Salvatier to recap all of our experiences outside of the convention center. Gas up the Batmobiles, throw back a couple of beers, and don’t let those zombies get you as we talk SDCC 2012 on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Being a geek is an investment in time, money, and most importantly interest. But what happens when the time isn’t available or the interest isn’t there? With so many things to keep up on, past and present, it can often be difficult to stay on top of what-is-what and to be as informed and exposed as possible. Join us this week as we reveal some of our personal shortcomings in geekdom. Whether it’s geek-centric things we flat out don’t enjoy or haven’t had the pleasure of getting our hands on, we all come clean on our holes in the geek game. Don’t be hatin’, but get your hate-mail ready (and remember to send it to Matt) after this week’s episode of Monkey in the Cage.
