Episode 73 – Steel and Magic Adventuring Company

Steel and Magic Adventuring Company

Every Player has memories of their first character, their first adventure, and their first adventuring party.  For some, those memories are brief – a goblin spear here, a trapped hallway there, a prick of a GM behind the screen, etc. – while for others they last weeks, months, and even years.  For us here at To-Ag Studios, that first true adventuring party lasted for half a decade, and in that five years, WE MUNCHKINED THE F— OUT!!!  Join us this week as we step back through the edition wars and discuss the origins and developments of our original Dungeons & Dragons characters.  From obscenely powerful equipment and weapons to an utter lack of regard for those silly things called rules, we reminisce (and surprise ourselves too!) about the old adventuring days.  Dial up those combat bonuses, stack on those magical enhancements, and be sure to keep a chipmunk skull close at hand as we discuss the Steel and Magic Adventuring Company on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!

Episode 33 – Favorite Apps

These days, everyone has a smartphone.  You’ve got one.  Your mom has one.  Hell, even the 2nd graders down the street have one, and they probably know more about how to operate it than the techs at Apple do.  That being said, one of the greatest features of smartphone and tablet technology is the plethora of Apps being developed by everyday geeks faster than you can switch from an Android to an iPhone* (*contract restrictions may apply).  Join us this week as we discuss some of our favorite Apps.  Whether it’s useful time wasters (aka games), infinite knowledge at our finger tips, or the ability to stay organized at work, at the gaming table, or in the daily grind of life in general, we’re not really sure how we used to function without them.  So, make sure your battery is charged, the touch screen is polished up, and your notepad app is open and ready as we discuss it all on this weeks new episode of Monkey in the Cage.

Review – Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

This past week, I got my copy of the latest installment of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series, and let me tell you, it has been hard to get anything accomplished that doesn’t involve being a teched out futuristic special ops soldier.  There’s action, guns, guns, optical camouflage, guns, and more guns… so yeah, I’m pretty much in video game heaven.  If you like tactical shooters, this game definitely does not disappoint, however, you may want to bring some friends.

Assassin’s Creed III Set in the American Revolution

Assassin's Creed III is set to release October 30, 2012

Ubisoft has released the box art for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III.  Note the American and British flags in the background confirming that the new assassin will be having a good ole “murder party” in the U.S.A..  More news is set to release on Monday!

(I should note that Robert found this news but since he’s too busy to post, I get the credit for it!  Take that, Skaggs!)
