So, Matt did something unthinkable and went and knocked some chick (his wife) up, and then she had the baby over the weekend and screwed up all sorts of podcasting plans. Good job, Matt. Way to mess up the program. Anyway, Robert was able to keep the show going this week thanks to our longtime friend, The David, and begrudging assistance from “The Girlfriend.” Chances are, with Matt out of the way, this is likely to be the best podcast ever produced by MITC, so we hope you enjoy it, because seriously, we might have peaked.
So, if you’ve been listening to the pointless ramblings of our podcast, more than likely you’ve either shoved sharp objects in your ears, need serious professional help, or most likely deaf (our apologies to our deaf listeners). Be that as it may, Matt and Rob continue to soldier on bringing you banal chatter, inane insights, and ridiculously misguided senses of self-importance. Another week, another podcast, but really… thanks for listening… and good luck with that mental disorder that keeps bringing you back. It’s time for another episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
What is this? A podcast on Thursday?? That’s right, loyal listeners (you three know who you are), your Thursday’s are belong to us!! Robert and Matt have moved to a new day on the MITC feed so that they can keep the podcast goodness flowing. Join them this week as their conversation shadowruns through the realms of gaming and movies, with predictable results. It may not be good, it might not make sense, and it sure doesn’t have a point, but it’s still cheaper than anything Billy Mays (may he rest in peace) ever sold – it’s time for some Useless Drivel!
We all know Hollywood is pretty much out of ideas. Nowadays, it seems like 90% of the movies hitting theaters is either some sort of remake or reboot, likely of something that has already been remade a couple times before. The awesome and epic story-tellers and directors (Looking at you, Nolan and Whedon) seem to finally be getting their chance to really shine, but studios are just too afraid to take a chance on those unique indie projects waiting in the wings, so it looks like we’re stuck with the likes of Michael Bay, Joel Schumacher, and Brett Ratner. Join us this week as we discuss the movies that we actually want to see remade (because it’s going to happen eventually), but only if someone with talent can do it! Wipe your classic memories away, burn up those original scripts, and whatever you do, don’t even think of Transformers as we discuss our remake picks on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
What’s better than breaking out a board game, rolling up some characters, or snatching up some controllers with your closest friends? Okay, maybe a lot of things, but in terms of gaming and having fun, nothing! However, those of us with established groups can often take that reality for granted, so what’s an isolated gamer to do to help plant the gaming seed and make that community grow? Join us this week as we tackle listener @AllenStucker’s question and offer an insiders-looking-out perspective on how to help a fledgling gaming community grow. Make nice-nice with the locals, gather up your games, and put on your extrovert pants as we talk gaming communities on a whole new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
It’s that time again! We like to keep it fresh, so it’s time for round two of our monthly uncaged episode. What’s our topic? We don’t have one! What are we talking about? That’s a surprise! Are you going to enjoy what your hear? Abso-farking-lutley!! Join us this week as we talk about whatever the hell we want as well as fielding the burning questions from our loyal Monkey Lovers out there. Do some ab exercises, get that bikini wax, and be sure to go crazy with the spray tan because it’s about to get wild and crazy up in here on an all new summer time bonanza episode of Monkey in the Cage!
