A phenomenon like The Hunger Games wouldn’t be quite as… well, phenomenal without a plethora of merchandise. Whether it be collector’s editions, movie companions, spoofs, cookbooks, jewelry, or apparel it’s all out there. Being a gamer, a Hunger Games fan, and the consumer whore that I am, I picked up not one, not two, but three games based on the series that I love.

Spring is here, and what better way to start than watching teenagers savagely murder each other on national television? Better yet, there is The Hunger Games! If you’ve been living in a cave you might as well stay there because it’s all about Katniss, Peeta, and The Capitol’s greatest spectacle. Join the Monkey in the Cage crew this week as they discuss their thoughts on both the book and the film while also being thankful for not starving and fighting to death. Impress those Gamemakers, get plenty of Sponsors, and be sure to watch out for those Tracker Jackers if you plan on surviving this week’s episode on The Hunger Games. Another day, another Hunger Games clip! I have a feeling that we will be getting more of these before this Friday’s release date let’s hope we don’t see the whole movie in clips by then! The lingering hug between Katniss and Gale reminded me of why I “chose” Gale for Katniss early in the book series. Watch and enjoy!

Another clip from The Hunger Games was released. This one features President Snow and Seneca Crane in Snow’s infamous rose garden. What I find most interesting about this clip is that this never occurs in the books. Since the book is written entirely from Katniss’ point of view there was bound to be a lot of scenes added to the movie to enrich to the narrative. I am very excited to see what other surprises are in store when I see the movie in five days!

Another Hunger Games clip has hit the nets! Peeta sits down with Caesar Flickerman in his attempt to win the sponsor’s hearts.
