If you’ve ever listened to an episode of this show, then you know the Monkeys here at To-Ag studio are a nostalgic bunch, especially when it comes to gaming. Join us this week as we talk about our experiences in the gaming generation and our take on how games have evolved in the relatively small span of 30 years. So, hire yourself a running coach, check out your fat-lympic ranking, and bow before King Joffrey as you prepare for a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
This week, we are joined by George Cordero (@TheRealmCast), editor of The RealmCast and member of the Frank and Sons Collectible Show crew, to discuss our personal picks for best and worst superhero movies. George brings his wit and extensive movie knowledge to the table as we hash over the good, the bad, and the super ugly that is the world of superhero movies. So, fire up the Bat Computer, strap on your matching cape and underroos, and tell Alfred to hold all your calls as we plow headlong into this week’s topic like The Blob at a buffet. Enjoy!
We all love heroes, right? We also know that for a great story to exist, there needs to be great characters, and while not all stories are epic adventures of ass-kickery, they all most definitely have a main character we can relate to. Whether you’re reading a book, watching a movie or playing a game it is fairly safe to say that during that time you have a vested interest in the characters and the world in which they exist. However, for every great protagonist, there should be a great antagonist and every once in awhile, the villains are even cooler than the hero, right! We know! This week, we’re talking Heroes and Villains and what we feel make them effective, believable and deeply complex. Seal up your Bat Cave, double up on inept Henchmen, and make sure your Fortress of Solitude stays that way because you won’t want to miss a minute of this!
