We all know that the majority of humanity is probably pretty decent, but all it takes is a couple of nut jobs to screw everything up for the rest of… well… everything. This goes for real life, and possibly the realms of fantasy as well. This week I’ll finish off my look at the classic fantasy races for D&D and Pathfinder with the humans, and talk about how they are pretty much the worst when it comes to all races.

I’m continuing onward with my analyses of the classic fantasy gaming races and this week we’re taking a look at Half-Elves. Now, if you’ve been keeping track of the stories (and you should be), you might anticipate this to be another railing against anything that has to do with Elves or Elvenkind. Fear not, readers! While I plan to be critical in my typical fashion, this week’s article isn’t necessarily anti-Half-Elf, but it’s probably going to come pretty damn close.

I am 44 years old, and other than a brief two year break for a bad life decision, I’ve played RPGs since 1979. I don’t tell you this to boast, I tell you this and ask you to think about the first thing to pop into your head. Was it, “he must be an old school gamer”? If it was, think about what that means.
