We all know that feeling.  It starts with the previews and the teasers during re-runs.  That new show, with those actors you like, is about to come to that network you watch.  You can’t wait to tune in, and when you do, it’s one of the greatest things you’ve ever seen.  You’re vested in the story, the characters, everything.  Nothing can possibly get better than this, IT’S AMAZ… WHAT!?!  CANCELLED!?!?!  Join us this week as we reflect and mourn on some of our favorite TV shows that were sent to an early grave by the TV and network execs.  Don’t get too cozy, have a plan B lined up for that time slot, and whatever you do don’t let FOX premiere your as we talk cancelled TV shows on a new episode of Monkey in the Cage.

Playing the Anti-Hero – It Feels So Good to be Such a Jerk

Do you ever want to just punch someone in the face, insult them for no reason, or just plain shoot them from under the table mid-sentence?  Sure, we all do, but in both the real world and the game world, this can bring about a whole slough of consequences.  Luckily, around the gaming table, Player’s are free to test the limits of societal norms and common decency, and as every GM knows, Players don’t just test those boundaries, they obliterate them.  Recently, I’ve assumed the anti-hero archetype in a game, and I have to admit, I might be enjoying it a little too much.

After waiting for three years, I finally got to “Discover the Secret.” Whedonists around the world are rejoicing as Joss’s The Cabin in the Woods finally hit the big screen this Friday the 13th. When MGM was sold, the Cabin was stuck sitting on a shelf… until it was picked up by Lions Gate.
