Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! It’s Friday and you’ve come to the absolute best podcast on the internet (if your goal is to lose a piece of your soul and wonder why this is even worth your time)! Join your hosts Robert, Matt, and The David as they discuss all sorts of stuff you didn’t care about, know about, or damn want to hear about! This one, my friends, will definitely require a bull brain scrubbing to erase the mental images. Hardly informative, barely entertaining, and usually partially offensive, it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
So let me tell you a little story about a man named Robert who went to San Diego Comic-Con one year and stayed in a hotel room with at least 12 other people. You see, there was one night where all the guys were huddled around around a computer watching random internet videos while the girls decided they wanted sleep so they went to the adjoining room and left use to our own devices. It was at this point in my life that I finally found what I had always been searching for (no, not gay sex), and that was a segment of a Japanese show called Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!.
Gaki no Tsukai has a segment referred to as a Batsu game where varying members of the group will go through a number of themed “punishments” over a 24 hour period.
These punishments range from spending a night in a hotel and having “ghosts” pop out at some inopportune times as seen in the video above, to having blow darts shot at you any time you laugh in a 24 hour period.
Now I mention all of these other ones just to bring it back to my two favorites. The first being the one that we all stayed up way to late watching in that hotel room so many years ago. The 24 hour tag.
and the saddest one of them all. No-Reaction Pie Hell.
