This is the week of E3, and while both your hosts would love to be there, they failed to organize and get their act together in order to try to get in the show. Now, while this in and of itself should be no surprise, they’ve at least been able to carve out a chunk of time to talk about the awesome things they missed, as well and their other weekly nonsense. Join your hosts Robert and Matt as they embark on a journey full of mediocrity, curiosity, and mildly offensive judgement. It wouldn’t be a show if someone wasn’t alienated! Somewhat special, poorly refined, and absolutely free, it’s another episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
No one ever grows up wanting to be the bad guy. It’s always “be nice” and “do good deeds” and “don’t break windows and set ant hills on fire,” but c’mon! Where’s the fun in all of that? More and more often, villains in all genres and media seem to be getting the spotlight, and sometimes even outshining their do-gooder counterparts in the process. Join us this week as we revisit and expand on our original conversation about the bad guys we love to hate. So butch up that resumé, practice your piloting skills, and stock up on eye patches and antibiotics as you settle in for a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Do you ever have one of those days where you’re just chilling in Reno and your Mobster significant other kills some dude over some mob-type stuff and then you’re sent to hide in a convent only to take the job seriously and coach the parochial school choir into the state championships? Sure, it sounds like the set-up for either a horrible couple of movies or possibly the greatest game of Fiasco ever, but either way it doesn’t matter! Join us this week as talk about whatever we want because we’re going uncaged! Gear up for some console wars, study for those SATs, and check your nutz(!?!) as you listen to a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Every Player has memories of their first character, their first adventure, and their first adventuring party. For some, those memories are brief – a goblin spear here, a trapped hallway there, a prick of a GM behind the screen, etc. – while for others they last weeks, months, and even years. For us here at To-Ag Studios, that first true adventuring party lasted for half a decade, and in that five years, WE MUNCHKINED THE F— OUT!!! Join us this week as we step back through the edition wars and discuss the origins and developments of our original Dungeons & Dragons characters. From obscenely powerful equipment and weapons to an utter lack of regard for those silly things called rules, we reminisce (and surprise ourselves too!) about the old adventuring days. Dial up those combat bonuses, stack on those magical enhancements, and be sure to keep a chipmunk skull close at hand as we discuss the Steel and Magic Adventuring Company on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
