Well, the title of the episode pretty much says it all. We’ve made it to the end of 2016, somewhat the worse for wear, but will soldier on into 2017 bringing you, our handful of faithful listeners, more idiotic discussions, low-brow conversation, and the general lack of insight and fact-checking you have come to expect. From all of us to all of you, it can’t get much worse, can it? Enjoy the final episode of 2016, because this year has been more of a train-wreck than this show! It’s Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
So, E3 is happening this week, but seeing as the guys here at MITC Productions strive for sub-par mediocrity, there’s no way you’ll get information on anything more than second hand. That being said, join your hosts Robert and Matt as they discuss the goings-on of E3, classic war movies, the 90’s, and softcore porno! So, sit back and relax, zone out the show while watching YouTube, and try to remember to come back next week, because it’s a whole new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point.
So, even though Christmas is right around the corner, we couldn’t help but bring you an early Christmas gift. But is it really a gift if it’s something we give to everyone on a weekly basis for free? Of course it is! Matt and Robert are joined by Tim for the third time (who may have unknowingly tread into co-host territory) to talk about all manner of alcoholic beverages, the mythical magic of Santa, Batman, and more! Sit back and relax, kick your feet up and prepare to get uncomfortable, because it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
Which decade was the best decade? That’s right, it was the 80’s…. NOT! Sure, the 80’s may have been aiight, but back in the day, we were all that and a bag of chips. Don’t believe us? Well guess what, homeslice, you’re hella wrong! Join us this week as we take a trip down nostalgia road and talk about all the things that were totally dope when the MITC crew first started hangin’ and things were off the heasy! So quit your trippin’, listen up to what the dillio is, and get ready to talk to the hand, scrubs, as we give mad props to our favorite decade on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage! Peace out!
Being a geek is an investment in time, money, and most importantly interest. But what happens when the time isn’t available or the interest isn’t there? With so many things to keep up on, past and present, it can often be difficult to stay on top of what-is-what and to be as informed and exposed as possible. Join us this week as we reveal some of our personal shortcomings in geekdom. Whether it’s geek-centric things we flat out don’t enjoy or haven’t had the pleasure of getting our hands on, we all come clean on our holes in the geek game. Don’t be hatin’, but get your hate-mail ready (and remember to send it to Matt) after this week’s episode of Monkey in the Cage.
The New Year is finally upon us. 2011 brought some good times for us here at Monkey in the Cage, namely the birth of our wicked cool podcast (that’s for any fans we may have in Boston). But, as awesome as 2011 was, 2012 is going to be a thousand times better. This year is going to be a geeks dream year come true – everything from video games and movies to conventions and podcasts. Like everyone else, we look forward to the new year and what it brings, but at the same time, we can’t help but take a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
This week, as everyone is looking forward, we’re looking back. Join us as we talk about the a crap load of things from our childhood and adolescence that we both love an miss. Be it cereals, tv shows, cartoons, or professional wrestling, nothing is off-limits as we babble on and on and commit the cardinal sin of dating ourselves and feeling old. Let your ears take a listen and your mind reminisce on the things that helped make us the geeks we are!
