Episode 86 – Film-to-TV Adaptations We Want to See

We all have our favorite movies. We also all have out favorite TV shows.  Every once in a while, we even get to see our favorite movies become TV shows, and then we get all excited and it’s like “ERMAHGERDIT’STHABESTTHINGEVER” and then FOX goes and cancels it….  Join us this week as we discuss some of the movies we feel should get a shot at their own air time on the “boob tube” (even a mini-series would be nice)!  Get the doctor to fill out your paperwork, dry those Whovian tears, and definitely watch out for 8-year-olds as you kick back and listen to a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!

If you’re a gamer and a geek, then undoubtedly you’ve amassed a grand collection of wondrous treasures, from boxes and books to cartridges and discs.  While some of these items may be considered mundane or even relics of geek ages long past, we all know that it goes against our very nature to part with such great gifts of enjoyment, even if we’ve never taken the shrink wrap off yet!  Join us this week as we delve into our geek closets and discuss games of all types – purchased, played, and otherwise.  Clear off the table, charge up those controllers, and for God’s sake read some damn instructions as you prepare for a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!

Gaming as a hobby and the experiences it brings can swing from one end of the spectrum to the other.  Be it tabletop RPGs, online gaming, or a good old-fashioned roundabout with a board game, there are always inherent pros and cons when it comes to living the gamer lifestyle (or life in general).  We here at To-Ag Studios have been fortunate to have maintained a core gaming group, but what’s a solitary gamer to do when a local group isn’t available?  Join us this week as we discuss the process of gaming with strangers and offer our insights on how both enjoy the positive experiences as well as survive the not so positive ones.  So, pop those social anxiety pills, make sure your PING is decent, and definitely DON’T smell like cold-cuts and prepare yourself for a new episode of Monkey in the Cage.

Episode 55 – Movies That Scared Us as Kids

One person’s scary movie is often another person’s comedy, but, being a kid in the 80′s meant you were pretty much on the same page with everyone else when it came squirming in your seat and being afraid of the dark.  Join us this week as we discuss the movies that kept us awake at night when we were kids.  Most are familiar, some a little less so, and there might be one or two in there that make you think, WTF!?!  So, be sure you’ve got a swimming buddy, make sure to keep that night light on, and whatever you do DON’T RUN UPSTAIRS as you settle in for an all new episode of Monkey in the Cage.
