Would you believe that Robert and Matt actually convinced someone to record a podcast with them? Neither could they! When it comes to over the top awesome, it’s hard to beat the Fate Core system, but you add a healthy dose of Atomic Robo to the mix, and you’ve got yourself some serious kickassery! The guys are joined this week by Mike Olson, lead designer of the Atomic Robo RPG, and man, is this guy living the dream! Tune the world out and flip on your geek-dar, because it’s about to get all sorts of awesome in your ears. From Action Scientists and Dinosaurs to Brainstorms and Vampire Lucahdores, prepare to be amazed by a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
Another week, another podcast, but this week it’s totally different! Not only are Matt and Rob joined in-studio by not just one, but two guests, they actually have something to talk about! Now, we know the listening audience seriously can’t get enough of the regular non-coherent ramblings of the hosts (what is wrong with you people), but this week it’s time to change it up. Listen along as the guys are joined by JiB and Gina of Happy Jacks RPG Podcast fame in a discussion on character advancement in RPGs. You’ll definitely learn something, just not from the regular hosts. Rarely accurate, but mostly timely, it’s time for another episode of Useless Drivel!
Every so often, a movie comes along that speaks to each and every one of us in some way or another. Whether or not this is a good thing, well, that all depends on the viewer. In the case of Zero Charisma, there was most definitely a resonance throughout To-Ag Studios, in more ways than one. Join us this week as we review the recently released dark comedy which speaks to a certain part of the gamer inside all of us. So, grab your donuts and tacos, get yourself a sweet hipster tattoo, and give as good as you get at the gaming table as you prepare for a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
HOLY CRAP! We did it! We made it to 100 episodes without missing a beat! That rates up there with great historical geek events like the birth of Gary Gygax, the 1st issue of Batman, and the sale of the first Nintendo combined! Okay, not really, but all things considered, it’s a pretty damn big accomplishment for us here at To-Ag Studios. Join us this week as we keep on keeping on talking about the geeky stuff we’ve been up to as well as reflecting on what 100 episodes has meant to us. So, make some new friends, watch out for raging teenage hormones, and definitely be careful who you trust (around the gaming table) as you prepare for a milestone episode of Monkey in the Cage!
He’s the guy making me spend GenCon funds three months ahead of time.
So, if you’ve been listening to the show, following me on Twitter, or read any of my articles, you’ve probably figured out that I’ll be going to GenCon this year. That being said, it would be in my best interest to squirrel away as much cash as possible and definitely NOT spend it on Kickstarter… but what can I say? Awesomely epic opportunities of gaming uniqueness only come along like every few weeks, so I have to take advantage of them, right? Well, this week, I got in on the absolute best/worst gaming Kickstarters ever – Epic Level Entertainment’s World’s Worst Dungeon Crawl! Check out the official press-release after the jump.
The summer blockbuster movie season has officially begun! Last week’s release of Iron Man 3 has already seen it reach the second highest opening take behind Avengers, but, as always, not everyone is impressed (such is the way of us geeks)! Join us this week as we discuss the movie, Robert Downey Jr., and all manner of geeky and Iron-y Man-y (yeah, it’s a thing) goodness. Charge up your Unibeam, polish up the Mark XLII Armor, and get ready for some holiday cheer as we talk Iron Man 3 on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
