HOLY CRAP! We actually managed to get episodes out 2 weeks in a row! Just when you thought you were going to get to stop listening to us, too. Join your hosts Robert and Matt as they discuss all manner of (not so) timely geek news, conspiracy theories, board and vidya games, also with a dash of intellectual discussion on mythology to boot (seriously)! Strap yourself in for some pure magical goodness pouring into your ears like molten gold, because it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
Another week, another recording with questionable tendencies and motives! Join your hosts Robert and Matt as they embark on another amazing adventure filled with inane jibberish, discussions on action heroes and Elder Gods, as well as a slight bit of food discussion. So, sit back and relax, and try not to drool on yourself for whatever reason; it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point.
“In their third year of podcasting, the Monkeys find themselves in a dark and foreboding plane of existence called Teh Internetz, surrounded by an army of soulless and viscous creatures called H8-ers. They must band together, with their loyal fanbase of MITC listeners in order to drive off all the non-believers (and Beliebers) in order to become true rulers of the Net!” Sounds like a badass movie, right!?! Join us this week as we go off the rails and uncaged! So, grab your crystal skulls, make a nemesis at the zoo, and just stop reading altogether as you prepare for a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Well, we actually managed to do it! We got half of the Monkeys to Gen Con 2013 to represent the podcast, and not only was it “The best four days in gaming,” it was likely to be the best four days of the entire year! Matt and Robert packed up their dice, grabbed all their cash, and shipped out some recording equipment to bring the MITC community a special episode straight from Gen Con, complete with special guests and fellow gamers Kevin and Sarah Smith! So, butch up on your 80’s action flicks, make some room in your luggage, and prepare for a whole shuttle full of teh awesome as you get ready to listen to a brand new, limited edition, foil wrapped episode of Monkey in the Cage!
NPCs; they are the lifeblood of any adventure, campaign, or gaming world. Sure, the story is created by the actions of the Player Characters, but without NPCs, who would the heroes turn to for help, sell all their (sometimes ill-gotten) treasures off too, or shiv prison-style in a back-alley for some easy XP? Join us this week as we jump back almost two decades to discuss some of the memorable NPCs – allies, adversaries, and otherwise – from our epic AD&D 2nd Edition campaign! Ready your fantasy cellphones, lock down that split-personality disorder, and for the sake of your family take out a life insurance policy as you prepare for an all new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
So, way, way, WAY back in Episode 8, we here at To-Ag Studios talked Heroes and Villains. Seeing as the Monkeys still had their podcasting training wheels on, we approached two very broad and interesting topics with the reckless abandon of Hulk and Wolverine on a bender. So now, 68 weeks later, we have reconvened our Monkey council in order to once again discuss the hero figure and why we love them. Draw down your cowls, make some therapy appointments, and get your butt out of retirement as were headed for round 2 to discuss Heroes (NOT the show) on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
