It’s no secret that we here at To-Ag Studios enjoy us some movies – good, bad, and otherwise. Now, while we all have varying and discerning tastes, there are those actors, actresses, and directors that no matter what project they attach themselves too, we absolutely cannot pass up. Join us this week as we discuss the entertainers that make us give them all of our money, whether we like it or not. Check your brain fluid, beware of mutant fish, and kill those hipsters on sight as you settle in for a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
So, we totally are not talking about the upcoming J.J. AbramsStar Trek: Into Darkness film (yet), but we made you look. What we are talking about is whatever we damn well please, so if that means confusing you with a completely unrelated post pic, then BAM SUCKA! You just got “uncaged” all up in your face (and a little in your hair). Join us this week as we discuss everything from gaming and movies to random internet news and whatever else comes to mind. Holster those phasers, disarm the photon torpedoes, and for the love of the gods, Hollywood, admit that Benedict Cumberbatch is Khan already! It’s a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
We all know Hollywood is pretty much out of ideas. Nowadays, it seems like 90% of the movies hitting theaters is either some sort of remake or reboot, likely of something that has already been remade a couple times before. The awesome and epic story-tellers and directors (Looking at you, Nolan and Whedon) seem to finally be getting their chance to really shine, but studios are just too afraid to take a chance on those unique indie projects waiting in the wings, so it looks like we’re stuck with the likes of Michael Bay, Joel Schumacher, and Brett Ratner. Join us this week as we discuss the movies that we actually want to see remade (because it’s going to happen eventually), but only if someone with talent can do it! Wipe your classic memories away, burn up those original scripts, and whatever you do, don’t even think of Transformers as we discuss our remake picks on a brand new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Let’s face it. If it wasn’t for books, we could hardly classify ourselves as geeks. From the stacks of tomes in our tabletop roleplaying libraries to the shelves lined with everything from history to science fiction, if a geek is anything, they are well read. Join us this week as we discuss our favorite books and authors, as well as the works that have been most influential on our creative minds. Be sure to grab your custom bookmark, set aside those reading glasses, and put that awesome book back on the shelf (just for a bit!) as you settle into that comfy reading chair and listen to a whole new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
Full body chills! This is the trailer I have been waiting to see for the newest Batman flick. Combine this trailer and recent love affair with the Batman comics and I am officially counting down the days!
We all love an original, right? Be it a movie, a TV show, a book or a game, there is nothing quite like the Real McCoy. The OG. The Numba One Stunna… or something… But, what happens if an original is remade or rebooted? What is it’s (probably) worse? What if it’s (surprisingly) better? Should it have even been done? Join us this week as we tackle these hard-hitting, earth-shattering, humanity influencing questions while looking at the entertainment industry’s remake obsession. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide those bootleg cable movie VHS’s, because it’s all about to get REMADE UP IN HERE, on this weeks new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
