Larry Elmore recently posted a Kickstarter project to fund an art book full of his paintings and it has really kicked me in the teeth with some nostalgia. Elmore along with Jeff Easley, and Clyde Caldwell were the artist that defined AD&D 2nd Edition for me. A number of their paintings have become instantly recognizable to me and always send me back to the days of going to my local hobby shop (They sold trains and RC stuff too!) to thumb through the new TSR hardcovers and counting out pennies with friends to see if we could afford it.
