It’s the end of a new week, so of course we’re going to start your weekend off wrong with a brand new episode! This week, Robert and Matt bring you a whole host of sexual tension, smoldering eyes, and awesomely irrelevant news and nostalgia. Hold onto your butts, because it’s about to get as pumping as a Nickelback concert up in here! Always random, rarely entertaining, it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
Seeing as we didn’t get an overwhelming amount of hate mail following the last couch co-op episode, we’ve decided to torture our poor listeners by running a part two! Join your hosts Matt and Robert as they slog through more dungeons and struggle even more to make their way through a half-assed conversation. This week has a little of everything, including, but not limited to: Nazi killing, mysogynistic American past-times, Cyberpunk Kickstarters, and British television, so clean out your ears, ’cause they about to get gunked up! It’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point.
Watch out, internet, the boys are back in town! It’s a new month, so that means new podcasts for all of our glory and all of your misery. They’ve stuck it to “The Man” and found some time to talk meaningless nonsense into the mics for to provide you a questionable choice for weekly entertainment. You asked for it, so you’re going to get it! From charitable porn and undead appendages to comic books and comic movies, tune in and zone out as you suffer through a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point.
Last week, I mentioned that my 21 month old is quite adept at using the family iPad. The little guy even knows how to do this “swipey thing” to move between open apps. I don’t even know how to do the “swipey thing” and when I lament that fact while begging him to show me how he’s doing it, he just slyly laughs. Seriously, he has his father’s sense of humor which tells me I am doomed to a lifetime of being picked on by both of them.
While we are on the subject of apps I’ve decided to share my toddler’s (and my) favorite apps for little ones.
These days, everyone has a smartphone. You’ve got one. Your mom has one. Hell, even the 2nd graders down the street have one, and they probably know more about how to operate it than the techs at Apple do. That being said, one of the greatest features of smartphone and tablet technology is the plethora of Apps being developed by everyday geeks faster than you can switch from an Android to an iPhone* (*contract restrictions may apply). Join us this week as we discuss some of our favorite Apps. Whether it’s useful time wasters (aka games), infinite knowledge at our finger tips, or the ability to stay organized at work, at the gaming table, or in the daily grind of life in general, we’re not really sure how we used to function without them. So, make sure your battery is charged, the touch screen is polished up, and your notepad app is open and ready as we discuss it all on this weeks new episode of Monkey in the Cage.
This week, we are joined by George Cordero (@TheRealmCast), editor of The RealmCast and member of the Frank and Sons Collectible Show crew, to discuss our personal picks for best and worst superhero movies. George brings his wit and extensive movie knowledge to the table as we hash over the good, the bad, and the super ugly that is the world of superhero movies. So, fire up the Bat Computer, strap on your matching cape and underroos, and tell Alfred to hold all your calls as we plow headlong into this week’s topic like The Blob at a buffet. Enjoy!
