Another Friday has rolled around and lo and behold, another podcast awaits for your listening. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, because the guys just love to make everyone around them as miserable as they are. Join your hosts Matt and Robert as they talk serious business like adulting, parenting, video games, and America’s National Pastime: hating stuff. Prepare yourself, because it’s only going to hurt a little, because it’s a brand new episode of Useless Drivel – A Podcast Without a Point!
Everyone likes a good TV show, right? But, as we here at Monkey in the Cage know, “good” is a very relative (and somewhat dangerous) word to use when measuring the quality of the television we watch. Join us this week as we are joined by super-listener and über-contributor Kevin Smith to talk about all those shows we hate to love! Warm up your vocal chords, really suspend your disbelief, and bring yourself tons of cash as you settle in for another ear-melting episode of Monkey in the Cage!
In honor of the final film in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, I took to the internetz for a good ol’ retail therapy. Just thought I’d share some of my Etsy finds with you, dear readers…
We all love an original, right? Be it a movie, a TV show, a book or a game, there is nothing quite like the Real McCoy. The OG. The Numba One Stunna… or something… But, what happens if an original is remade or rebooted? What is it’s (probably) worse? What if it’s (surprisingly) better? Should it have even been done? Join us this week as we tackle these hard-hitting, earth-shattering, humanity influencing questions while looking at the entertainment industry’s remake obsession. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide those bootleg cable movie VHS’s, because it’s all about to get REMADE UP IN HERE, on this weeks new episode of Monkey in the Cage!
The New Year is finally upon us. 2011 brought some good times for us here at Monkey in the Cage, namely the birth of our wicked cool podcast (that’s for any fans we may have in Boston). But, as awesome as 2011 was, 2012 is going to be a thousand times better. This year is going to be a geeks dream year come true – everything from video games and movies to conventions and podcasts. Like everyone else, we look forward to the new year and what it brings, but at the same time, we can’t help but take a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
This week, as everyone is looking forward, we’re looking back. Join us as we talk about the a crap load of things from our childhood and adolescence that we both love an miss. Be it cereals, tv shows, cartoons, or professional wrestling, nothing is off-limits as we babble on and on and commit the cardinal sin of dating ourselves and feeling old. Let your ears take a listen and your mind reminisce on the things that helped make us the geeks we are!
