Three Comics You Should Be Reading

Comic Book Guy

Let’s be honest. No matter how much you love comics, there’s no way you’ll ever be able to read them all. There’s just far too many and you’d have to sell pretty much all your organs on the black market to be able to afford them.  So what I want to try and do with this article, which I hope to be able to do on a semi-regular basis, is to keep people up to date on some of the awesome comics out there so they can give them a shot themselves.  Some will be new comics, some will be old comics, but all of them will be comics you should be reading.

OZ: The Great and Powerful – Review

Oz-the-great-and-powerful

When I first heard that both Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr. turned down the lead role in OZ: The Great and Powerful, I had to wonder why.  However, I wasn’t overly disappointed to learn that James Franco was going to play the title role of Oz… and then I watched the movie…

OZ: The Great and Powerful is like a soap opera set in the most colourful place possible, so here is a run down.

Reiner Knizia’s Tile-Laying Trilogy on iOS Part 2: Samurai

Samurai-Title_Screen

This is the second part of my discussion of Reiner Knizia’s influential and acclaimed tile-laying trilogy.  The first part discussing Through the Desert can be found here.  The next game we are going to discuss is Samurai, an area/influence capturing game set in feudal Japan.  As a bonus, I am also going to review the board game, because I own it and it is awesome.
