What are YOU doing at Gen Con? – Part 2

gencon

Last week I covered the events I had planned out for my first day of Gen Con.  Seeing as Thursday alone was enough to fill a post, I decided to split my itinerary into two separate articles.  This week, we’ll look at what’s on the docket for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!

What are YOU doing at Gen Con? – Part 1

Indy Gen Con Logo

Gen Con 2013 is just around the corner, and I’m already losing sleep from the building excitement.  Making it to Gen Con has been high on my gamer bucket list for close to two decades and in only a few short months, I’ll finally get to experience the geektastic event that is “the best four days in gaming.”  Event registration was a little over a week ago, and while I didn’t get into every event I had hoped for, I was actually surprised I made it into the majority.  Here’s a quick run-down of my Gen Con schedule for Thursday August 15th, which includes the event description and my first impressions of what lies in store.

Why Half-Orcs are Inhumane

Half_Orc_Paladin

Back when Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition released in 2000, those of us out there that had cut our teeth on AD&D 2nd Edition where privy to a slough of changes.  While some aspects were a call-back to the original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and familiar to the generation of gamers before myself, of all the changes, revisions, updates, and rebirths to be had, half-orcs should have stayed in AD&D, and for good reason.  I continue my look at the classic Player Character races and plead with you to stop the inhumanity!
