Yesterday, more pictures were released from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. They not only are awesome but they also reminded me that The Hobbit is a scant 2 1/2 months away! Squee! When I happened upon these stained glass art pieces by Jian Guo known as breathing2004 on deviantART I was blown away. So, I just had to share it with you.
Simply wow, right?

I saw this yesterday and thought it looked pretty cool. A lot going on, but it’s dope.
Those are pretty cool. Are they real? It seems way too detailed to be real windows, but if they are, it would be awesome to see in real life.
They’re not real, just a stained glass style. The artist did them for a LotR art competition.
I want them for my house, that way the kids in the neighborhood would never send a baseball through my windows…
Kid 1 -”That’s crazy Kev, I heard he feeds children to Smaug.”
Kid 2 -”What’s a Smaug?”
Kid 1 – “I have no idea but he told me himself that’s what he does!”
Me – “YOU KIDS GER AWAYS FROM ME HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Kid 1&2 – “*Various screams of terror.*”
I agree with Dennis, they’re kinda busy but are really cool. It would be great artwork for any fan of the books & films.
These totally make me want to re-read LOTR and watch the movies ASAP. The Hobbit is going to be EPIC! Now, if I could just find a way to get that Moria scene recreated as actual stained glass in our dining area…
Great find!
Oh, my, GOD THESE ARE COOL!
Plus, a really nice job on the stained-glass style, it really works well!
I am so going to steal these for my computer’s wallpaper
.
Kudos to Jian Guo for such a good job.
I agree with Matt, if there were any way to get these done for real short of making them your self, I would totally by them!
